Hotel Klastrom - Gyor

Some odd smells permeated the hotel, especially noticeable in the rooms and corridors, likely linked to drainage issues. The electric heater wasn't functioning properly, leaving the room cold at night. Limited amenities included missing minibar and non-working hairdryer. Water noise from the toilet was a persistent disturbance during the night.

Asked for twin room and it was a nice size with comfy sofa.

Location in old center of Gyor, old carmelite nunnery. But this needs to be better explored. The Klaustrom history needs to be better published and call visitors attention in your hotel pack. Since the location is so perfect, maybe include a hotel newsletter with more information about the places surrounding the hotel for visitors staying for a short period, with opening times (churches, masses, museums, shows, festivals, spas, etc. Your reception staff was fine, informing about hotel parking and time schedule, but does Internet give information about parking? The reception layout/decoration is a bit messy, giving a bad initial impression. Breakfast was very good. More English language is needed all over Hungary!!! Only German!!!

An excellent historical building with excellent breakfast and attentive staff. Perfect location for exploring the city!

Some outdated amenities might need refreshing. Occasional parking confusion can arise based on time of day.

Loved staying in this unique historic hotel with spacious rooms and a charming courtyard view! The breakfast was great, but parking could be tricky at times 🏰

Friendly helpful staff. Clean comfortable rooms, as a converted monastery it was a peaceful hotel (except for the church bells at 7.00 AM!!), well decorated, ideal location for old town, good value for money and recommended. Lots of character.

Charming old building with a fantastic location.

It felt overly warm at night and there were no windows we could easily open for fresh air. I found the WiFi to be quite weak and unreliable in the room.

The hotel was unique and fantastic, excellent value, perfect for us. The breakfast was extensive with melon and fresh pastries, for example and attention to detail. The location was unbeatable and the staff members were efficient. You could walk to a shopping centre and a market. It took only 10 minutes to walk to Viragpiac bus stop. We had a real good experience.

Very friendly and helpful staff at the front desk, even print out bus schedule for us!! Most staff speak perfect English. They honored our request from Booked.net for a room facing the courtyard. Spacious room, clean and quiet. Nice bathroom with ample hot water and good water pressure. Everything works perfectly! Great location in the heart of the city center - you can see the hotel from train station, no need for taxi! One of our favorite hotels in Hungary!!!

Rich in history and charm, this converted monastery offers spacious rooms and an unbeatable location just steps from the old town. Enjoy a comfortable stay with friendly staff and efficient air conditioning. The mini bar is stocked with affordable drinks, and parking is right outside for a small fee. Highly recommend!

Hotel with character and charm (a former carmelite cloister). Location right in center Gyoer, parking right outside the front door, very friendly and helpful staff and a perfect internet connection.
